Job summary

Mercy Health – The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati seeks a Pharmacist to manage medication therapy and ensure safe, cost-effective care in partnership with the health system.

Graduate of ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with BS or PharmD; licensure in state; 2+ years acute care experience preferred; EPIC knowledge preferred. Mercy Health offers competitive pay, benefits, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required).
• Advanced pharmacy degree – Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred).
• Maintains current license for pharmacist in the state(s) where practicing (required).
• 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting (required).

Responsibilities

• Process orders and provide medication review for appropriateness, safety and efficacy.
• Oversee distributive functions to ensure timely medication availability.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support personnel activities.
• Identify, document, and resolve potential adverse medication events.
• Provide medication education to improve patient understanding and adherence.
