Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a PRN Clinical Pharmacist to join our team and ensure safe, effective, patient-centered medication therapy.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to review orders, optimize dosing, and provide drug information. In addition to clinical care, you will precept students, participate in quality initiatives, and support adherence to Mercy policies and regulatory standards while contributing to an environment of teamwork

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Current pharmacist license in the applicable state.
• Two+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and dispensing of medications and verify orders.
• Monitor patient medication therapy and assess treatment outcomes.
• Provide drug information to clinicians and patients; intervene to prevent medication-related problems.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to optimize therapy.
• Educate and precept pharmacy students and residents as needed.
• Participate in quality initiatives and policy reviews within the department.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain safety standards.
