Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist responsible for medication management, ensuring safe, effective and cost-conscious therapy. The role involves collaboration with healthcare teams, supervision of technicians, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The pharmacist will educate patients, participate in drug utilization reviews, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives within the department.

Qualifications

Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required).
Advanced pharmacy degree – Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred).
Maintains current pharmacist license in state(s) where practicing (required).
Immunization certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

Process orders and provide medication review for safety and efficacy.
Oversee pharmacy technicians and ensure timely medication availability.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Identify and document adverse medication events and participate in reporting.
