Job summary

BayCare Health System seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to support St. Joseph's Hospital South in Riverview, FL. This PRN position offers a flexible schedule with occasional weekend work and no on-call duties, focusing on patient safety and medication optimization.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists to prevent drug-related problems, address therapy gaps, and provide outstanding patient service while upholding BayCare's standards of care.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Florida.
• Bachelor's degree required; PharmD preferred.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency preferred.
• Acute care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support hospital pharmacy operations and patient safety.
• Prevent, identify, and resolve drug-related problems.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve outcomes.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and staff.

Clinical Pharmacist position details:

• Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital South
• Location: Riverview, FL
• Status: PRN as needed
• Shift: Variable

Clinical Pharmacist Responsibilities:

• The clinical pharmacist shall support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department by preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems to assure patient safety improve patient satisfaction and minimize costs.

Certifications and Licensure:

• Required: Pharmacist - State of FL
• Preferred: Completion of ASHP Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: PharmD, Acute Care Experience
