Job summary

BayCare in Riverview, FL, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for overnight ED coverage (7pm–7am) on a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation. The role requires Florida licensure and a PharmD or equivalent with acute care experience.

The pharmacist will contribute to patient safety, clinical decision support, and cost-effective care while aligning with hospital goals and BayCare’s commitments to excellence.

Qualifications

• Requires Florida pharmacist license.
• PharmD or equivalent preferred for acute care roles.
• ASHP PGY1 residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support hospital pharmacy to prevent, identify and resolve drug-related problems to improve patient safety and satisfaction while controlling costs.

Clinical Pharmacist position details:

• Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital South
• Location: Riverview, FL
• Status: Full time, exempt
• Shift: 7pm-7am | 7-day on/7-day off
• Weekend Work: Every other
• On Call: No

Clinical Pharmacist Responsibilities:

• The clinical pharmacist shall support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department by preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems to assure patient safety improve patient satisfaction and minimize costs.

Certifications and Licensure:

• Required: Pharmacist - State of FL
• Preferred: Completion of ASHP Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: PharmD, Acute Care Experience
