Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to supervise Medical Assistants and support office operations in collaboration with Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager.

The role focuses on efficient patient flow, staff productivity, quality improvement, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Requirements include a MA program credential, CPR, and at least 5 years of clinical experience with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with management/supervision coursework.
• Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in Management or Healthcare Administration.
• Completion of accredited MA program and MA externship; EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer credentials if applicable.
• Maintain MA credentialing CEUs when applicable.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for the MA staff.
• Evaluate MA staff performance and recommend promotions or disciplinary action.
• Fills in as Medical Assistant when needed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
