Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a Clinical Coordinator to supervise MA staff, support patient care, and coordinate between patients and providers. You’ll assist with recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations while applying quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.

Qualified candidates will have a managed care background, CPR certification, and MA credentials. This role emphasizes staff leadership, operational efficiency, and patient-centered service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with applicable college coursework in management and supervision.
• Prefer associate or bachelor’s degree in Management, Healthcare Administration, etc.
• Successful completion of accredited/approved MA program and MA externship, MA Internship; EMT/Paramedic/ATC programs; or MA Recertification CEUs.
• Valid CPR certification. MA-Credentialed I: CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for the MA staff.
• Evaluate MA staff performance; recommend promotions and disciplinary action.
• Fill in as Medical Assistant when needed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
