Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to oversee MA staff and related office operations. You will partner with Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager to optimize patient flow, satisfaction, productivity, and attainment of operational goals.

The role involves supervising daily activities, participating in recruitment and training, maintaining MA scheduling, evaluating performance, and supporting care coordination and quality initiatives in a day-shift, full-time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with management/supervision coursework.
• Prefer an associate/bachelor’s degree in Management or Healthcare Administration.
• Successful MA program completion and MA externship or credentialing highly regarded.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for the MA staff.
• Evaluate MA staff performance and recommend promotions or discipline.
• Fill in as Medical Assistant when needed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
