Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a Clinical Coordinator to support Medical Assistants and oversee MA staff, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care. You will collaborate with Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager to meet operational goals and improve patient satisfaction.

The role includes supervising staff, managing schedules, assisting with exams and procedures, and contributing to quality improvement. A clinical background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with management coursework; prefer associate/bachelor’s in management/healthcare administration.
• 5+ years clinical experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• MA credentials (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for the MA staff.
• Evaluate MA staff performance; recommend promotions/discipline.
• Fill in as Medical Assistant when needed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
