Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Educator to foster a culture of excellence and learning within our facility. You will assess competency, develop educational programs, and support staff through orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities include coordinating competency assessments, delivering targeted education, and collaborating with DHS to address learning needs.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college.
• Experience implementing and maintaining policy-driven practices is desirable.
• Experience in patient, family and/or staff education encouraged.
• Current RN license in state of practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical competency assessment and training for staff.
• Provide education on clinical topics to enhance skills and critical thinking.
• Participate in recruitment and orientation of clinical staff.
• Perform initial competency assessments during orientation and periodically.
• Oversee preceptor program and train staff to serve as preceptors.
• Conduct competency assessments informed by patient conditions and acuity.
• Collaborate with DHS to review learning needs and implement education plans.
• Maintain documentation of partner education per regulations and policies.
• Develop and deliver facility orientation for new employees.
