Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator to lead education and competency initiatives for nursing staff. You will drive ongoing training, assess clinical performance, and support preceptor development to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include coordinating training, delivering education on clinical skills and critical thinking, and collaborating with leadership to address learning needs across units. A nursing degree and active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current RN license in state of practice; CPR (BLS) certification.
• Experience in teaching and staff education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical competency assessments and training needs.
• Provide education on topics to develop clinical skills and critical thinking.
• Assist in interviewing and selecting clinical staff.
• Complete initial competency assessments during orientation and periodically.
• Oversee preceptor program and train partners using train-the-trainer approach.
• Conduct competency assessments based on patient acuity and conditions.
• Collaborate with DHS to review learning needs and implement education plans.
• Communicate with unit managers about orientation and educational needs.
