Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Clinical Competency Coordinator to lead staff education, competency assessment, and learning initiatives across the facility. You will evaluate care quality through bedside observation and documentation reviews, and develop ongoing education plans for partners.

In this role you will collaborate with DHS, unit managers, and education teams to drive orientation, competency tracking, and compliance with regulatory standards in a post‑acute setting.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• RN licensure in state of practice (unrestricted).
• Experience implementing policy-driven practices; LTC or acute care preferred.
• Experience delivering staff education and patient/family education.
• Within six months: IV Certification, Pain Management, Wound Care, Respiratory Care, CCC Certification; Within twelve months: American Heart Association CPR Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinical competency assessment and training needs of clinical staff.
• Provides education on topics to develop clinical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Participates in interview and selection of clinical staff.
• Completes initial competency assessments during orientation and annually.
• Oversees preceptor program and train-the-trainer approaches to sustain standards.
• Maintains documentation of partner education in accordance with regulations.
