Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the health care team. Under supervision of a health care provider, you will assist with examinations, coordinate patient care, and support office operations.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting in the EHR, updating patient histories, and assisting with procedures. Certification within 120 days is required; CMA/CCMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT/AMCA accepted.

Qualificações

• High School / GED or Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• Accepted Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vital signs and screen for medications.
• Document in the EHR and manage patient records according to policy.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training.
• May float between physician locations as needed.
