Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in our clinical practice. Under supervision, you will assist with examination coordination, take vital signs, document in the EHR, prepare exam rooms, and help with administrative tasks.

The role requires a High School diploma or Medical Assistant program completion; certification within 120 days if not yet certified; CPR and background clearances; may travel between physician office locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification within 120 days of hire if not already certified.
• CPR- American Heart Association and background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of the provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vital signs and review medication history.
• Document patient information and visit notes in the EHR.
• Assist with administration of screenings and rooming patients per protocol.
• Perform back office testing and support procedures as directed.
