Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and the care team by coordinating examinations, treatments, and care plans. You will prepare exam rooms, obtain vitals, document history, screen medications, and help with wellness screenings in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You’ll document in the EHR, manage med lists, and assist with exams and follow-up visits. Travel between locations may be required; CPR is required; H.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School / GED or MA program certification.
• Must obtain MA certification within 120 days of hire; accepted certs listed.
• CPR certification required; background checks including Act 34/33/73.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision with a team-based approach.
• Prepare exam rooms and obtain vitals and patient history.
• Document in EHR, review meds and update the med list.
• Assist with exams, screenings, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain supplies, sterilize instruments, and support office operations.
