Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a coordinated clinical team in Pittsburgh. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation in the EHR, and help with procedures and basic clinical tasks.

Under supervision, you will maintain exam rooms, manage supplies, and perform clerical duties while complying with certifications, CPR requirements, and background clearances.

Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of Medical Assistant program.
• Certification needed within 120 days of hire.
• Accepted Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).
• Associate's Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vital signs and screen histories.
• Assist with examinations and procedures; may serve as a scribe with training.
• Document in EHR and manage medication lists and test results.
• Maintain exam room readiness and inventory; sterilize instruments.
