Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program is required OR at least 1 year of clinical or administrative experience is required.
• BLS certification within six months as a new hire or internal transfer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and updating medical records.
• Assist providers during examinations.
• Answer phones, refill medications, and perform administrative duties.
• Perform basic clinical procedures and collect laboratory specimens.
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations.
