Job summary

The Clerical Clinical Medical Assistant at Covenant HealthCare provides both clinical and administrative support across multiple locations within the same shift, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and/or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program.
• BLS certification within six months for new hires or internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking and recording vital signs and updating medical records.
• Assist providers during examinations as needed.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays and other fees.
• Perform basic clinical procedures and collect/prep laboratory specimens.
• Coordinate imaging, labs, and other diagnostic testing as ordered.
• Maintain infection control, HIPAA compliance, and patient confidentiality.
