Qualifications

• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
• Completion of an accredited or approved Medical Assistant program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patient for exam; obtain vital signs and document health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assist with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
• Administer routine medications under physician/APP orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate test requests and referrals; relay information to patient and team.
• Communicate with the health care team to ensure smooth clinic flow and patient care.
• Perform basic clinical tasks under supervision (phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, etc.).
• Provide age-appropriate care and adapt to patient needs as described in policy.
