Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Michigan is seeking a Clerical Clinical Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support. The role covers multiple locations within a single shift, requiring flexibility and strong patient-centered service.

The position involves vital signs, basic procedures, scheduling, billing, and ensuring confidentiality. Demonstrated teamwork, excellent communication, and adherence to HIPAA are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Competency-based Medical Assistant (MA) training program required.
• One year of clinical and/or administrative experience preferred.
• BLS certification within six months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and updating records.
• Assist providers during examinations as needed.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments and collect co-pays.
• Perform basic clinical procedures and collect laboratory specimens.
• Coordinate imaging, labs and EKGs as ordered.
• Maintain patient records and HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
• Handle clerical tasks: scheduling, billing and data entry.
