Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Clerical Clinical Medical Assistant to support Providers and patients across clinical and administrative duties. The role involves vital signs, charting, patient scheduling, insurance verification, and co-pay collection within a HIPAA-compliant environment.

The position requires flexibility to work across multiple locations within a shift, strong customer service, and the ability to handle both clinical and clerical tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of a competency-based MA program preferred.
• BLS certification required within six months of hire or transfer.
• One year clinical (direct patient care) or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and updating records.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and manage patient information.
• Perform basic clinical procedures and collect laboratory specimens.
• Coordinate tests (x-rays, labs, EKGs) and ensure proper equipment handling.
