Qualifications

• Word processing and spreadsheet experience; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare patient for examination; measure vitals (BP, pulse, weight, height).
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests; advise on pre-visit requirements.
• Update EMR with medical information, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Reconcile medications and set up pending refills; discontinue inactive prescriptions.
• Address patient concerns and assist with minor issues.
• Order and perform waived point-of-care testing (strep, urine, hCG, glucose).
