Job summary

Atrius Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with routine procedures and tests. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, and ensure EMR data is accurate and updated.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency or Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Associate degree in medical assisting is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR software is preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a clinical or customer service setting is common for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms according to policy.
• Prepare patients for examinations; measure vital signs (BP, pulse, weight, height).
• Assist clinicians with routine procedures and tests; advise on pre-visit testing.
• Update EMR with medical information, demographics, meds, allergies and complaints.
