Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the 60287 WI ACL Laboratories – AMC St Lukes: Lab in the United States. The role involves performing and evaluating a wide range of laboratory tests, calibrations, and quality control, while ensuring rapid, accurate results for critical care areas.

40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 0600–1430 with weekend/holiday rotations. Requires MLT certification within 1 year or AMT/ASCP equivalent and an Associate degree in Clinical Lab Technician or

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs and monitors laboratory tests per established protocols and evaluates results for clinical significance.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts to complete work within required timeframes.
• Performs calibration and maintenance of instruments and equipment; conducts quality control.
• Performs internal and external proficiency testing in the same manner as patient samples.
• Supports critical care departments (ED, ICU, OR) with timely, accurate results and assists in mass casualty procedures as needed.
