Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Laboratory Technician (MLT) for the 60287 WI ACL Laboratories – AMC St Lukes: Lab in Milwaukee, WI. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with shift from 0600 to 1430, Monday through Friday, plus weekend and holiday rotations.

You'll perform, evaluate, and monitor laboratory tests per established protocols, ensure timely reporting, maintain instruments, and support quality control. Licensure as MLT within 1 year (ASCP BOC or AMT) is required or pursued.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including alternate site assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols, adjusting workflow to complete work in time.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports findings per policy.
• Maintains calibration and quality control of instruments and equipment; documents results.
• Recognizes instrument issues and initiates corrective actions or notifies supervisor.
