Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the 60136 WI ACL Laboratories - AMC Grafton location in Wisconsin. The role spans 20 hours per week with shifts from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology. Certifications (MT/MLS/AMT) are required within 1 year. No experience is required.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include alternate site assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and validity and reports results as required.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments; recognizes malfunctions.
• Performs and reviews quality control and quality assurance procedures to improve processes.
• Ensures proper labeling and handling of specimens; collects samples per protocol.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students as assigned.
• Aids in improving quality and efficiency while ensuring compliance with accrediting standards.
• Performs proficiency testing and participates in quality assurance activities.
• Performs specialty testing across transfusion services, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, histology, coagulation, and flow cytometry.
