Advocate Health’s WI ACL Laboratories - WI Central Lab: Microbiology in Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist. You will perform and evaluate clinical tests, monitor instruments, and ensure quality control in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in CLS or Medical Technology, and MT/MLS certification within 1 year. This full-time role requires 40 hours/week with 4-10 hour shifts and a weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology or related field.
• ASCP MT/MLS certification or AMT certification within 1 year is required/needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports appropriately.
• Performs and documents calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments.
• Reviews quality control and quality assurance for improvement.
• Collects specimens from patients per protocol and ensures proper labeling.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students as assigned.
• Aims to improve laboratory procedures while adhering to accrediting standards.
• Performs proficiency testing and supports various specialty testing areas as needed.
• Provides timely, accurate results for critical care departments during high acuity events.
