Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field with appropriate lab experience.
• Or B.S. in applicable science plus two years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with four years of related lab experience.
• Eligible for certification in Medical Technology or subspecialty certification (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing (waived, moderate, and highly complex) on blood and other specimens and report results.
• Calibrate and maintain clinical laboratory instruments; identify and correct basic malfunctions.
• Prepare reagents or media per procedures or literature.
• Conduct quality control procedures and document results; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Orient and supervise students/new staff; contribute to continuing education activities.
• Monitor quality improvement indicators and participate in team processes.
