Qualifications

• GS-04 requires six months general experience.
• Six months specialized lab support experience in testing and reporting.
• Associate degree with approved lab training required or substituted experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher related to the field may meet requirements.
• Two years of study in chemistry/biological sciences with lab training may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking.
• Evaluate test results and troubleshoot to ensure accuracy.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments; prepare reagents and culture media.
• Collect and process patient specimens; accession and track specimens in LIS.
• Validate and document results; support quality assurance and compliance.
