Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in Lehigh Valley area seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform high, moderate, or waived testing following established SOPs. The role requires independent judgment with minimal supervision and effective communication with physicians and staff.

The candidate should have an associate degree in MLT and meet CLIA 88 requirements for high complexity testing. Onsite position with rotating schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
• Associate’s degree in MLT program from an accredited institution required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high/medium/waived tests per SOPs with independence.
• Identify and correct instrument malfunctions per manual.
• Verify and report test results; monitor for reasonableness and critical values.
• Correlate data and assist physicians with interpretations.
• Conduce quality control and performance improvement activities.
• Provide orientation/training to new staff or students.
• Collect/prep specimens for analysis as needed.
• Participate in CSI and continuing education.
• Perform competency for high complexity testing as delegated.
