Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in medical laboratory technology or equivalent.
• CLIA grandfathered MLT regulations qualification.
• Less than 1 year of experience with internship.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific documents.
• Ability to read, understand, and speak basic English.
• Ability to use computer systems, word processing, e-mail, and software programs.
• Dependability and flexibility in scheduling.
• Ability to apply mathematical skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical/diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Perform high, moderate, or waived lab tests in the assigned department.
• Utilize instrumentation and SOPs to verify and report results with independent judgment.
• Conduct quality control and report any issues before final reporting.
• Perform required departmental preventive maintenance.
• Provide clinical orientation and training to new employees or students.
