Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in Allentown, PA, is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee collection, processing, and automated/manual diagnostic testing. You will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate safety programs under the Manager/Director.

The role requires CLIA high complexity testing eligibility, experience supervising laboratory teams, and strong leadership. You will review QC data, implement improvements, and provide training and orientation for new staff and students.

Qualifications

• Meets CLIA requirements for high complexity testing and can supervise.
• Ability to read and interpret scientific/regulatory documents.
• Willingness to pursue specialty certification in chosen clinical field.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises collection, processing, and testing to ensure quality/integrity.
• Coordinates staff, schedules, and training; provides 24/7 on-call coverage.
• Directs safety programs and hazardous materials storage.
• Reviews QC data and implements process improvements.
• Plans resources, including space, personnel, budget and equipment.
• Performs high-complexity tests and reports results.
• Facilitates education and orientation for new staff and students.
• Coordinates new business with Sales Department.
