Job summary

QuidelOrtho in the Appalachian Region seeks a Clinical Laboratory Business Development Manager to drive sales of Clinical Laboratory product lines across Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. This field-based role focuses on new customer acquisition and adoption, working with Account Managers, Technical Specialists and Strategic Account Executives to grow the business.

You will develop strategic territory plans, build relationships with key decision makers, and provide accurate forecasts and CRM

Responsibilities

• Converts competitive/new customer accounts and closes opportunities.
• Drives Clinical Laboratory instrument placements within an assigned territory.
• Develops and executes strategic territory plans to prioritize, pursue, and convert competitive accounts.
• Develops subject matter expertise for all competitive instrumentation and shares with the team.
• Teams with Strategic Account Executives in IDN-related planning activities.
• Gains entry into competitive customer accounts, prospects for opportunities and develops leads.
• Develops and leverages relationships with key stakeholders and executes call plans.
• Develops and executes strategic territory plans to meet annual quotas and sales goals.
• Assists with transition planning for newly converted customers and smooth transition to Account Managers.
• Teams with technical teams and Inside Sales to target stand-alone, non-standardized IDNs.
• Provides timely and accurate sales forecasts, activity, account updates, and reports via CRM; collaborates with Marketing.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
