Job summary

Beyond Blue in Lexington, KY is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to design, implement, and optimize clinical information systems that enhance patient care and safety. You will integrate evidence-based practices into EHR workflows and collaborate with clinicians, pharmacists, and IT staff to standardize order sets and CDS.

The role includes training, project management support, change management, and contributing to quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives by leveraging health informatics

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare clinical care, external measures, quality, and safety.
• Registered nurse preferred.
• Epic certification is required or highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and optimization of Epic EHR functionality.
• Collaborate with clinicians, pharmacists, and IT to validate and standardize order sets and CDS across inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings to review, revise, and approve system workflows and order set updates.
• Develop and maintain business/system requirements documentation; support workflow redesign to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits, quality assurance reviews, and build validation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and safety in system use.
• Provide training, mentoring, and support to end users including clinicians, residents, and students in classroom, one-on-one, and rounding settings including occasional travel to healthcare facilities.
• Assist with project management tasks including requirements gathering, timelines, testing coordination, and go-live readiness activities.
• Respond to and resolve service requests and issues, escalating as needed, while maintaining a customer service focus.
• Contributes to quality and safety initiatives by identifying data requirements, analyzing outcomes, and advocating for patient-centered improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
