Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist III to coordinate, integrate, and analyze clinical processes across the Health System using information technology, process design, and evidence to improve patient care and outcomes.

This hybrid role requires frequent onsite presence (1-2 weeks per month) and relocation for non-local candidates; you will lead initiatives, promote EMR adoption, and guide teams in designing workflows aligned with clinical goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; licensed healthcare professional preferred.
• 5 years in clinical informatics and Epic Clinical Applications.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH and CMS guidelines.
• Ability to analyze complex data and manage change.

Responsibilities

• Leads informatics initiatives across the health system.
• Promotes EMR adoption and clinical practice standards.
• Directs improvement teams to refine workflows and translate requirements into IT specs.
• Supports system-wide IT projects aligned with high reliability care.
• Liaises with information systems to establish priorities and address physician concerns.
• Mentors informatics staff and develops training/content as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
