Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Immediate Care Technician in Chicago to support physicians and APPs by facilitating patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and performing related clinical and administrative tasks. You will interact with patients professionally to ensure satisfaction while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support, and certification within six months (MA/CMA/AMT/NCCT/NRCMA) or EMT license; strong computer skills are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Within first six months, complete one of CMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA/NRCMA certifications or have EMT certification.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Pre-employment competency exam may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assures efficient patient flow through the site and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Obtains accurate vital signs and documents visit details.
• Assists MD/APP with procedures and clinical tasks as directed.
• Maintains clean and stocked exam rooms and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Promotes patient satisfaction through professional, friendly interactions.
