Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification path within six months: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA or NRCMA, or EMT/paramedic.
• Basic life support certification required pre-employment.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assure efficient patient flow through the site and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Obtain accurate vital signs and document visit reason, allergies, and medication history.
• Notify MD/APP of significant changes in vitals or symptoms.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist MD/APP with procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, wound care).
• Support referrals, transfers, and discharge processes.
