Job summary

Medix is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist to drive the go-live and integration of laboratory instruments and middleware across customer sites. You will guide pre-sale demonstrations, validation support, and post-sale workflow parameterization, with clinical training and on-site support.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, field support, and data-driven product feedback to improve analytical efficiency in clinical laboratories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's degree / Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician with 10+ years of clinical laboratory experience (Armed Forces equivalent accepted).
  • Active ASCP or CLS certification is required.
  • Strong background in Hematology and familiarity with CLIA/COLA standards.
  • Working knowledge of LIS, HIS, or middleware management systems.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with a strong customer-first urgency. Supervisory experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to meet standard hospital/healthcare facility credentialing requirements (including current immunization records).

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer lab integration projects from go-live to stabilization.
  • Deliver technical presentations, onsite instrument training, and workshops.
  • Investigate and resolve complex performance issues across instruments, reagents, and IT/middleware systems.
  • Support pre- and post-sale goals with live instrument demos and territory account management.
  • Gather field data to communicate product feedback and drive process improvements.
