Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks an Admixture Tech II to prepare sterile and non-sterile medications, manage admixture orders, and support clinical trials within a multi-site cancer care network.

The role requires thorough knowledge of aseptic technique, PPE protocols, and collaboration with physicians, nursing, and procurement to ensure uninterrupted patient care. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Professional pharmacy technician certification (or equivalent) preferred; ideally CPhT.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders to ensure accuracy and required products.
• Perform calculations to determine drug measurements for admixtures.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as prescribed.
• Don and doff PPE to ensure aseptic preparation of drugs.
• Maintain records and logs for clinical trials, waste, and temperature controls.
• Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies and drugs.
• Travel up to 75–100% weekly for float assignments.
