Job summary

The receptionist will perform check-in, answer calls, and maintain confidentiality while interacting with patients and staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with patient information.
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and caring aligned with Trinity Health values.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the front desk.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including patient flow and scheduling.
• Handle phone calls and direct to appropriate parties.
• Validate insurance eligibility and enter demographics into EMR and other systems.
• Collect payments at time of service at appointment time.
• Scan/copy patient access documents into the EMR.
