Job summary

The Baptist Columbus clinic is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator II for Golden Triangle Internal Medicine & Pediatrics to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will coordinate office activities, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments, ensuring a smooth clinic experience for patients and staff.

This role requires strong communication, customer relations, and accuracy in charge entry and billing procedures, with ongoing interaction with insurance

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a physician practice or clinic.
• Associates Degree or collegiate/medical trade completion.
• Current knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent customer relations and basic Windows skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance and coordinates with carriers/regulatory agencies for reimbursement.
• Performs daily/monthly close-out procedures for internal controls and cash balancing.
• Maintains knowledge of co-pays, deductibles, and worker's compensation protocols for accurate billing.
• Promotes customer satisfaction with professional verbal and nonverbal communication.
• Follows corporate policies relating to clinic operations.
