Northwestern Medical Center is seeking a Practice Support Specialist for our Medical clinics. This full-time, on-site role supports patient registration, scheduling, and phone inquiries, ensuring smooth clinic operations across the Physician Services area.

The successful candidate will have high school diploma, clerical experience in a medical office, familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records, and a patient-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior clerical work experience in a medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to operate multi-line phone systems.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors and collects required forms.
• Registers patients, schedules appointments, and answers the phone.
• Cross-trains and supports multiple clinics within Physician Services.
• Manages inbound faxes, portal messages, and referrals per office procedure.
• Collects copays and handles cash accurately according to policy.
