Job summary

The role requires strong computer skills, a minimum of 1 year in billing or registration, and the ability to type at least 35 WPM. Training and a path toward leadership exist within the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in billing, patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification required.
• Broad clinic knowledge and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-line registration with parent/guardian by phone or in person in a courteous manner.
• Collect demographics and insurance information and update systems.
• Reschedule appointments and link visits to scheduling system.
• Greet patients and parents, verify consents and HIPAA notices.
• Obtain insurance card and photo ID for medical records.
• Respond to patient portal work lists and manage inquiries.
