Job summary

Children's National Medical Center seeks a Clinic Operations Representative to provide patient services and administrative support in ambulatory clinics. The role supports scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and demographic collection with accuracy.

The position involves up to 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, primarily at Northern Virginia clinics; care coordination, referrals, and billing tasks are routine. Growth to Senior Clinic Operations Rep or Team Lead is possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 1 year experience billing, patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification/screening (Required).
• Broad clinic knowledge with strong customer service; computer literacy and MS Office skills required; typing 35 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and register patients in the scheduling system.
• Collect demographic and insurance information and verify accuracy.
• Communicate with parents, patients, physicians and staff professionally.
• Assist with referrals, pre-authorizations, and age-appropriate clinic workflows.
• Support multiple clinics, as needed, and maintain documentation per policy.
