Job summary

Central City Community Health Center seeks an experienced clinic operations supervisor to oversee daily activities of medical clinic staff and non-clinical day-to-day operations. Role includes back-up coverage for front/back office, staff training, audits, and ensuring compliance with billing, HIPAA, and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate Licensed Medical Assistant is required.
• Four years of experience in a non-profit organization.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Strong planning, organizing and management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work under pressure and be flexible.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Knowledge of CHDP guidelines and immunizations schedule.
• Reliable transportation and CA driver’s license.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support providers and supervise clinic operations.
• Provide back-up for front and back office staff.
• Ensure clinic is covered at all times.
• Train and supervise staff members.
• Prepare and coordinate audits.
• Update billing on programs (CHDP, SOFP, OB, CPSP).
• Conduct monthly walk-through inspections.
• Prepare OSHPD reports and monitor budget.
• Schedule patients and create new charts; handle prescription refills.
• Respond to patient/staff complaints.
• Produce weekly productivity reports.
