Job summary

TSAOG Orthopedic & Spine is seeking a Clinic Administrator to lead daily clinic operations in San Antonio. You will collaborate with front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services to maximize resource use and ensure efficient service delivery.

You will manage surgical scheduling, patient communications, and coordination with billing to control costs and improve patient flow. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Nationally Registered Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience.
• Clinical knowledge and familiarity with Athena practice management system.
• Understanding of health insurance requirements related to medical reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and clinical staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Oversee day-to-day clinic activities and scheduling to reduce patient wait times.
• Assist physician to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and on time.
• Schedule surgerys and advise patients on pre-surgical requirements and tests.
• Explain co-pays and refer patients to a financial counselor when needed.
• Enter surgical/clinical charges into Athena or route to reception.
• Coordinate tests and follow-up appointments with physicians.
• Document patient communications and obtain physician signatures.
• Manage clinical risk and respond to patient/vendor concerns.
• Monitor hold buckets on Athena Dashboard and assist reimbursement staff.
