Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patient well-being and recovery.

You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized care, perform vital signs, prepare specimens, and assist with medications and vaccines, while adhering to clinic workflows and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP medical assisting program.
• Must have completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients, records vitals, allergies, current meds.
• Collects specimens for lab analysis and prepares vaccines/medications.
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

We are offering a Sign-on Bonus to new hires that meet eligibility requirements.

Required

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range

$18.06 - $25.51 /hour
