Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess patients and support recovery, leveraging clinical skills and a patient-first mindset.

The role emphasizes applying critical thinking, accurate vital signs collection, phlebotomy, medication administration, and vaccines as needed in a busy clinic setting.

Qualifications

• ABHES or CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program.
• Completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid status.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greet and prepare patients by recording vital signs and reviewing medications.
• Collect and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Perform additional duties within scope as assigned.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
