Job summary

CHI Health Clinic seeks a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to provide compassionate, high-quality care that supports patient well-being and recovery. You will perform general patient care, assist in screenings, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes.

You will greet patients, record vital signs, review allergies and medications, collect specimens, prepare medications or vaccines, and follow clinic workflows.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Complete Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range
