Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that positively impacts patient well-being and recovery. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, comprehensive care and support optimal outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have an ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited education, national CMA/RMA/NCMA certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited medical assisting program.
• Current nationally recognized certification for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA).
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
